Nadal/Djokovic rivalry gets hotter

We are headed into the summer tennis season, and the rivalry between PokerStars SportStar Rafa Nadal and his foil, Novak Djokovic, couldn't be much hotter. Nadal, the No.1-ranked tennis player in the world has been battling to retain his top spot for months with Djokovic on his tail. Today, Djokovic got a littler closer as he defeated Nadal in three sets at the Rome Masters.

Nadal, fresh off a win in Spain, looked good coming into the Italy contest. He cruised to the finals versus his rival. But when it came time for championship play, Djokovic took over. Nadal won the first set, but in the end, Djokovic won, beating Nadal 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. It was the first time in ten years Rafa has lost more than two matches on clay in the same year.

Nadal, who has struggled in recent weeks, now looks forward to Roland Garros, a place Djokovic has yet to win but where Rafa has won eight times.
