The Blades, semi-finalists in the Capital One Cup, will also be without striker Chris O'Grady and defender Paddy McCarthy, who have returned to respective parent clubs Brighton and Crystal Palace.
Sheffield United have already beaten top-flight sides West Ham and Southampton this season, but Redknapp, whose QPR side are 16th in the Premier League, is keen to avoid a shock defeat.
"They will want to come here to the Premier League side and cause an upset," said Redknapp. "Obviously staying up is the priority but we don't want to be the headline either."
Chris Porter has scored three goals in his last five FA Cup games.
QPR and Sheffield United have been drawn together twice in the FA Cup with the Blades progressing on both occasions, once after a replay.
Both of United's FA Cup wins over QPR have come at Loftus Road.
QPR have won just two of their last 22 FA Cup matches (won two, drew seven, lost 13).
Sheffield United have won 11 and lost just two of their last 15 FA Cup matches.
The Blades are unbeaten in their last five FA Cup matches away in London (won three, drew two) winning the last three in a row.
