But today put all that into perspective as coaches from across the Premier League used their time in front of the cameras to wish a speedy recovery to Clarke Carlisle.
The former player and ex-chairman of the Professional Footballers Association is currently in a “stable” condition in hospital following a road collision with a lorry.
Clarke’s wife Gemma has been overwhelmed by support since her husband’s crash. She took to Twitter to thank all those that have offered their kindness.
