A 1920s brick home on 1179 square metres sold a week before auction after a buyer gave a strong offer with attractive terms. Given it's surrounded by $10 million homes the local family who bought it will likely build their own prestigious home.
It was the most expensive sale reported to Domain Group at the weekend.
After two weeks with the clearance rate at 67 per cent, it rose to 70 per cent on Saturday, Domain Group data shows. There were 1442 auctions.
