A woman was taking pictures of a surfing contest when she captured the picture with her cellphone camera.
“I took a shot, but as I stood up, there was a splash, and I thought, ‘what was that?’ Steph Bellamy told ABC Australia.
“I hit the button to take another photograph,” Bellamy continued.
“He jumped twice. He photo bombed big time, then he went on his way,"
The soaring shark was seen at Macauley’s Beach, Australia,Coffs Harbor Boardriders club.
Lifeguards quickly ordered everyone onto the beach where they stayed for 15 minutes.
Confident all was well; swimmers and riders returned to the water with no incident.
Some wondered if the fish in the picture was a tuna or dolphin. Bellamy quickly disagreed, "it was a shark, and quite a large one,” she noted.
Biologists confirmed the image was of a shark, but that doesn’t scare Steph.
“It was having a bit of fun," she said smiling.
