We first told you last week that some local gun shops saw a spike in gun sales leading up to Thanksgiving.
It looks like that wasn’t the case on Black Friday, at least not for Bass Pro Shops in Broken Arrow.
General Manager Mike McClure said they had a hard time keeping up with demand last year, but this year has been slower and easier to manage. He says that’s great news for people looking to buy now.
“With the demand being down just a little bit from last year on firearms, it’s really a good time to buy them because we have better selections.” McClure said.
Setting gun sales aside, Bass Pro in Broken Arrow had a huge crowd on Black Friday. KRMG had reporters all around Tulsa that morning and it was clear… Bass Pro Shops was one of the busiest places around Tulsa.
That could be, in part, due to the fact that other large retailers opened the evening of Thanksgiving, about 12 hours before Bass Pro Shops.
