A deceased estate home sold for $610,000 over reserve to a local buyer. It was the first time in 70 years the 720 square-metre block was up for sale.
It was the most expensive sale reported to Domain Group at the weekend.
On Saturday there was a clearance rate of 70.5 per cent, Domain Group data shows. There were 1028 auctions.
4 Thomas Street, Strathfield, sold for $3,925,000.

A five-bedroom house in Strathfield was the second most expensive sale reported to Domain Group on Saturday.
